DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY
Our wireless digital radiography systems ensure the best of radiography quality and portability. Completely wireless, they facilitate taking radiographs anywhere at any time as well as obtaining super quality radiographs.
Digital radiography is an invaluable diagnostic tool in lameness investigations, dentistry and neck or back problems but is also used for radiographic screening of yearling, youngsters, stallions and mares.
DIGITAL ULTRASONOGRAPHY
Our clinic ultrasound scanners are second to none in Ireland and do not only offer grey scale ultrasound, but colour flow Doppler as well. This allows us to determine the healing stage of tendons and ligaments, joint pathology, heart valve function and foetal development amongst other things.
On the road and at the stud, we have portable ultrasound scanners for ultrasonography of the tendons and joints, lungs and reproductive tract.
ENDOSCOPY
We have a top-notch digital video-endoscopy system which simply has no rivals anywhere in the world. With the different scope lengths, we can visualise, investigate and sample the upper respiratory tract (pharynx, larynx, guttural pouches and trachea), the gastro-intestinal tract (oesophagus, stomach, duodenum and rectum), the urinary tract (urethra and bladder) and reproductive tract (vagina, cervix and uterus). We can easily record these investigations for further reference or for sales recording of yearlings. The system is also laser compatible, allowing us to bring laser assisted minimally invasive surgery to Northern Ireland.
ARTHROSCOPY/LAPAROSCOPY
In 2021, we purchased a brand new 4K HD arthroscopy/laparoscopy stack. This is a surgical imaging modality which allows visualisation of the horse’s joints, tendon sheaths, abdomen and thorax through minimally invasive surgery/keyhole surgery. Arthroscopy allows us to deal with wounds that involve a joint or tendon sheath, flush septic joints of foals, remove OCD chips, etc. Laparoscopy can be used to remove intra-abdominal testes (rig), ovaries and other minimally invasive specialist procedures.
