Our vets may request to see the horse at the clinic if this is more appropriate for the case and for OOH logistics. Any OOH referral cases will be seen at the clinic and your referring veterinary surgeon must contact our OOH vet first.
DEFINITE EMERGENCIES:
- Colic
- Critically injured horse
- Foaling difficulties
- Sick/lame foal
- Horse trapped in river/drain (also ring Fire and Rescue Services/Mourne Mountain Rescue)
POTENTIAL EMERGENCIES:
- Horse ‘off feed’ or ‘off form’
- Injured horse/wounds
- Horse with oesophageal obstruction (choke)
